Job Summary
Sales Engineer, Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems, based in Shanghai. Responsible for defining and tailoring technical content and scope of hybrid/electric propulsion solutions, engaging in technical discussions with shipyards, owners, and design companies, creating technical bids and documentation, coordinating with the global front-line sales force and component suppliers (generators, converters, batteries, transformers, e-motors), providing technical expertise during the sales phase, preparing technical solutions and cost/sales price calculations for components and installation activities, and coordinating order transfer from Sales to the Project/Engineering execution team. Requires a Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology (or equivalent), professional experience in power generation/converter technology, a hands-on, structured approach, strong problem-solving attitude, English proficiency, and willingness to travel within Asia (primarily China).
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology, or equivalent
- Professional experience in power generation plants, control, and converter technology
- Structured and practical way of working with a hands-on attitude
- Passion for exploring technical and commercial solutions to provide value to customers
- English language (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel around in Asia, mostly in China
