Job Summary
Coordinate with Account Representatives, System Integrators, and Project Managers to ensure successful implementations and maintain long-term client relationships. Design, build, and present Proofs of Concept, while writing competitive proposals and solution overviews to support pre-sale efforts. Deliver on-site training, support beta test programs, and recommend technical architectures, migration strategies, and operational best practices. Lead technical qualification calls, manage RFx processes, and oversee implementation teams to ensure project delivery. Collaborate with Product Management to log customer needs and enhance product offerings based on client desires.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Software Developer or related role(s) in the Financial Services domain
- Ability to handle technical questions and provide solutions during the sales cycle
- Proficiency in architecture design and technical documentation
- Demonstrated experience with most/all of the following
- Object-Oriented Programming and/or Enterprise Application Development, vibe coding, etc.
- Relational or non-relational databases using SQL or NoSQL
- Data Engineering skills using Python, GenAI, RAG, MCP, etc.
- Modern Analytics architectures - Data Lakes /Data fabrics/Data mesh
- Machine Learning and Generative AI use cases
- HTML, JavaScript, Angular
- XML, XSLT, JSON, SOAP, REST
- Cloud hardware services, containers, kubernetes, etc.
- Windows, Unix/Linux, MAC OS X
- API Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinicians, C-level executives, and software engineers
- Ability to deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations
- Strong analytical skills to assess technical feasibility and recommend strategies
- Ability to lead and manage Proof of Concept (POC), Prototype, and Paid Pilot projects
- Experience in leading technical qualification calls and managing RFx processes
- Ability to oversee implementation teams and ensure successful project delivery
- Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction and reference-ability
- Ability to provide technical mentoring and transfer of knowledge to customers
- Ability to work closely with Account Managers, Professional Services, Product Management, Support, and other internal teams
- Experience in logging and communicating customer needs to Product Management and Development
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proven experience in a Sales Engineering or similar technical role
- Occasional regional travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Financial Services-related organizations is a plus
- Relevant technical certifications related to InterSystems products or similar technologies are advantageous
- Familiarity with the Financial Services industry and its technical requirements
