Job Summary
The Sales Engineer supports the sales organization in developing and delivering C&I PV+BESS turnkey solutions. This highly customer-facing and technically driven role focuses on pre-sales activities, solution design support, and engaging with customers and partners. Responsibilities include conducting customer meetings and technical workshops to assess project requirements, preparing technical and commercial proposals, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams to ensure deliverability of solutions. The candidate should have a strong background in C&I PV and energy storage, with 5+ years in technical sales, and must be fluent in English and German.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree preferred (electrical, energy, renewable, or similar); business or equivalent technical background also considered
- Willingness and ability to travel (up to 50%)
Desired Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding of C&I PV and energy storage solutions
- Hands-on experience with BESS
- 5+ years of experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, or pre-sales role within the C&I solar or energy storage sector
- Experience supporting turnkey solution sales or complex infrastructure projects
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, customer-focused value propositions
- Comfortable working in an international, matrix-based sales organization
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (Dynamics or equivalent)
- Fluency in English and German; any other European language would be a plus
