Job Summary
Sales Engineer for Beckhoff Automation's South regional team in Central Texas. Responsible for full-cycle sales in the Southern Gulf territory, delivering automation solutions, building customer relationships, generating BOMs and proposals, maintaining a robust sales pipeline, and collaborating with Application Engineers to meet customer needs. Role combines technical expertise with strategic sales activity, including in-person and virtual customer meetings, trade shows, and territory planning. Hybrid work model with on-site Austin office days and remote work on other days; travel up to 60% to support regional and national activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field; or a Business degree with relevant automation industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales or industry-related role
- Demonstrated success in technical solution sales, preferably within industrial automation
- Strong understanding of automation hardware and software
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of a customer organization
- Must be physically located within the Austin territory
