Job Summary
Sales Engineer responsible for promoting, estimating, and bidding HVAC equipment and DDC controls systems, focusing sales efforts on building relationships with mechanical engineers and contractors. Delivers technical presentations, demonstrations, and submittals; prepares proposals and bids; collaborates with sales teams to coordinate activities; builds and maintains customer relationships; requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, at least five years in engineering/related field and two years in HVAC equipment sales. Must be able to travel to job sites and work occasional evenings/weekends; strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; proficient in reading plans, specifications, and technical documents; driver license required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field
- Minimum five years of experience in engineering systems or related field
- Minimum two years in HVAC equipment sales
- Valid driver license
- Occasional evening and/or weekend work
- Travel to and from job sites and factories, many out of town
- Occasional overnight stays
- Strong communication and organizational skills
