Sales Engineer

Job Summary
Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities for Orenco composites and fiberglass products, including rectangular tanks, DuraFiber buildings, and tank covers. Present and sell to engineers, municipalities, OEMs, and key business associates while performing product demonstrations. Develop and maintain sales presentations, prepare quotes, and follow up on projects throughout the sales cycle. Communicate with manufacturing engineering to ensure correct submittal drawings and delivery. Develop strategic sales plans to grow territory sales and oversee product training and manufacturer rep network expansion. Maintain customer records and meet established sales objectives. Up to 50% travel is required, with work during business hours including occasional shifts and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years sales experience
- Thorough understanding of Orenco Composites capabilities and processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, and customer service-oriented manner
- Ability to be self-directed and work as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and software
- Ability to be flexible and adjust to priority changes with little notice and to remain calm during confrontational or high-pressure situations
- Ability to use sound judgement and follow-through in problem-solving and decision-making processes
- Must have satisfactory driving record
- Maintain valid driver's license
- Current insurance on personal vehicle if used for business
- Meet company insurability requirements
- Up to 50% travel
- Work to be done during manufacturing business hours, which may include an occasional early and/or later shift as needed
- Occasional overtime may be required
- Regular, consistent, and predictable attendance
