Job Summary
Sales Director for Walgreens team responsible for penetrating CPG Shopper teams and driving a budget shift toward Vestcom Media Solutions. Leads formulation and execution of sales strategies, develops high-level customer relationships across Walgreens’ senior leadership, coordinates with Merchandising/Marketing/Loyalty, and manages a VMS-focused sales team. Seeks to close opportunities at assigned CPG accounts, with emphasis on revenue growth and client expansion. Requires 10+ years in CPG sales, experience with Retail/CPG clients, ability to engage at the C-suite, a deep understanding of Walgreens dynamics, strong analytical skills, and proven track record in top-line growth. Includes management of Campaign Managers and Account Managers, budgeting/forecasting, and travel up to 25%. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
- At least 10+ years sales experience with Retail/CPG focus in marketing/sales organizations
- Experience working for either a leading CPG or a large marketing services solution provider
- Knowledge of Brand, Retail, Shopper Marketing and Media landscape
- Must have a record for achieving top-line revenue, and bottom-line targets
- Experience in consultative data driven selling
- Experience successfully developing and deploying sales and go to market strategy
- Exceptional negotiation, account management, and strategic selling skills
- Self-starter with ability to manage up and down; Hunter mentality
- Superior analytical and communication skills
