Job Summary
Sales Director - OEM Accounts leads commercial strategy and relationship management across multiple North American automotive OEM customers, including RFQ responses, pricing, forecasts, and program launches. Key duties include managing senior OEM relationships, driving profitable growth, coordinating with cross-functional teams (costing, finance, engineering, program management, R&D, purchasing, operations), and developing customer-specific growth strategies. The role requires hands-on leadership in a flat organizational structure with experience in Tier One automotive sales, a track record with major OEMs (Ford, GM), and the ability to lead negotiations, budgeting, and long-range planning. The role also involves supporting new business awards, ensuring profitability, and aligning product strategy with customer requirements while traveling to customer locations and company facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive automotive sales, commercial, account management, or business development experience
- Tier One automotive supplier sales experience
- Experience working with major North American OEMs (Ford, General Motors)
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to travel as required to customer locations, company facilities, and business meetings
