Job Summary
Director of Sales for Residence Inn Carlisle. Responsibilities include Meeting and Exceeding Group Booking Goals, increasing Average Daily Rate (ADR) and occupancy, growing market share annually, revenue maximization and expense control, overseeing the Sales and/or Events Department, maintaining client relationships and networking, generating proposals, writing contracts and customer correspondence, overseeing event management of group bookings, ensuring guest satisfaction, and attending meetings outside typical office hours. Requires the ability to work independently, strong verbal and written communication, negotiation and selling skills, attention to detail, and strong organization and presentation skills. Travel may be required. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree (preferred) with supervisory experience and hospitality industry experience (rooms and food & beverage) or related service industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree Preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Progressive experience in the hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or service industry, including Rooms and Food & Beverage departments preferred
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Possess highly developed verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to influence others, negotiate, provide friendly service and possess professional selling skills
- Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
- Must have attention to detail, meet deadlines and demonstrate strong organization and presentation skills
