Sales Director, Japan

Sales Director, Japan responsible for owning and driving revenue growth for Wolfspeed’s SiC portfolio in automotive and industrial & energy sectors. Lead the full direct sales cycle, secure long-term design wins and market share in Japan, and orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with global sales, marketing, engineering, and operations to deliver technical solutions and operational excellence. Build and nurture C-level and senior management relationships with key automotive and I&E customers; drive technology roadmaps, platform penetration, supply assurance, and long-term partnerships. Coordinate pricing strategies, long-term agreements, and portfolio expansion with Marketing; ensure disciplined opportunity management and forecasting (Salesforce). Align global resources and distributor partnerships to support Japan customers across development and manufacturing sites; oversee distributor management, order fulfillment through distributors, and leadership of the Japan sales team. Required: Bachelor’s in electrical engineering (or related), minimum 10 years in power systems with executive customer engagement, proven track record of closing strategic automotive and I&E business, strong negotiation and communication skills, understanding of OEM/Tier-1 decision processes, and fluency in English. Preferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineering and experience leading Japan automotive/EV and I&E market expansion.
