Job Summary

Sales Director role focused on Defense & Intelligence with VulnCheck, based in Maryland. Own and grow a named set of government agencies to generate net-new revenue, manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, and forecast accurately in Salesforce. Collaborate across Sales Engineering, Product, and Marketing to tailor vulnerability-intelligence solutions for DoD, DoE, and IC accounts; carry use cases from existing defense agencies into new agencies; and leverage contract vehicles and government procurement processes. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in cybersecurity sales targeting Defense/Intelligence, a proven record of closing complex multi-stakeholder deals, and experience navigating federal procurement timelines. Strong written and verbal communication, familiarity with vulnerability feeds/CVE scoring, and comfort with CRM tools like Salesforce are preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience selling within one or more of the following domains: Attack Surface Management (ASM), Vulnerability Management (VM), Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)
  • Existing relationships with government CISOs, agency security leaders, or program managers
  • Experience selling into federal civilian agencies, DoD, or intelligence community organizations
  • Familiarity with vulnerability feeds, CVE scoring systems, or exploit intelligence
  • Experience working in hybrid or distributed teams
  • 5+ years of sales experience in cybersecurity with a focus on Defense and Intelligence agencies
  • Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals with multi-stakeholder and dynamic buying cycles
  • Experience navigating federal procurement processes, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, SEWP, GWACs), and government acquisition timelines
  • Thrive in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally
  • Comfortable using modern sales tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Take a consultative, technically literate approach to solution selling
