Job Summary
Sales Director leads the community’s sales and marketing efforts to drive occupancy targets, develops and executes strategic marketing plans, maintains accurate leads and waitlists, conducts market and demographic analyses, builds referral-source networks, plans and hosts events, and oversees inquiry follow-up and resident tours. The role requires managing a sales team, recruiting and developing staff, ensuring budget and expense control, and delivering a customer-centered experience. Key skills include relationship-building with referral sources, strong communication, proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, strategic planning, data analysis, and a proactive, autonomous work style with a focus on achieving occupancy goals in a senior-living setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or related field from accredited college or university or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year experience in successful sales (3 years preferred)
- Senior living experience preferred
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel if necessary
- Must have a valid driver’s license in current state with satisfactory driving record
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must demonstrate outgoing, energetic personality with excellent listening skills and ability to persuade others
- Must possess ability to work with little supervision and make independent decisions
- Must understand urgency to build occupancy with ability to gain referrals and build new sources of business
- Must demonstrate effective follow through and follow up with marketing leads
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality
- Must display effective networking skills and account management
- Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary information
- Must adhere to Code of Ethics and complete compliance training
