Job Summary
Sales Development Representative responsible for rotating through multiple territories to maximize sales of supplier brands to the trade. Local Steamboat Springs area coverage with route relief for the local sales team; maintains in-account visits, delivers professional sales presentations, inventories and restocks where permitted, enhances brand visibility with POS materials, and educates account staff on brands. Duties include servicing accounts, addressing issues, collecting payments where legal, preplanning to achieve distribution and volume goals, and attending weekly sales meetings. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in sales, proficiency with MS Office, strong communication and customer-service skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and valid driver’s license. Preference for candidates within commutable distance of Steamboat Springs; job offers a salary range of $40,000–$60,000 plus a $3,600 annual car allowance, with health care, life insurance, time off, and 401(k) benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales
- Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Analytic and Reporting skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
- Have a valid driver’s license
