Sales Development Representative (Outbound)

Job Summary
Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting by sending automated cold emails and making daily calls to cold prospects and warm leads. Manage account reactivation by following up with inactive customers and driving reorders and expansion through structured cadences. Respond promptly to inbound inquiries, qualify leads, and route them appropriately while maintaining a clean Salesforce CRM with accurate activity logging. Hit daily activity targets and monthly pipeline creation goals within a metrics-driven motion. This role supports a growing CPG snack brand with retail placement across 15+ regional grocery chains, offering a clear playbook and measurable expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in sales, outbound, inside sales, or lead generation
- Fluent English across reading, writing, and speaking
- Strong written communication with the ability to write clear, concise cold emails that do not read as spam
- Confident, natural phone presence with the ability to handle objections and rejection without losing momentum
- Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM for logging activity and managing pipeline
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to multitask across multiple tools simultaneously
- Fast typing and strong attention to detail
- Available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time with a quiet, professional calling environment and reliable high-speed internet
- Self-disciplined, coachable, and comfortable being measured against daily and monthly metrics
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in CPG, food and beverage, retail, or consumer brand sales
- Familiarity with grocery or regional retail distribution channels
- Background in high-volume outbound sales with defined daily activity targets
- Experience using sales engagement platforms such as Outreach, Salesloft, or Apollo alongside a CRM
