Job Summary
Sales Development Representative to execute high-volume outbound prospecting across assigned territory, qualify prospects using a rigorous process (S.P.E.D. or similar), and transition qualified leads to Account Managers. Responsibilities include developing multi-threaded outreach via calls, emails, and social channels to identify new customers for thermoplastic resins; delivering discovery meetings to support the Account Management team; collaborating on territory strategy and ideal customer profiles; maintaining CRM discipline (Salesforce/SAP) with prospecting activity and qualification details; and acquiring product knowledge to effectively articulate Nexeo's value proposition. Key skills include drive, action-orientation, strong communication, CRM/prospecting-tool proficiency (Salesforce, SAP, SalesLoft, Outreach), and the ability to meet activity-based targets. Travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in sales, business development, or high-volume call center role
- Demonstrated drive and history of hitting and exceeding activity-based metrics (e.g., calls per day, meetings booked)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage decision-makers
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, SAP, or similar) and prospecting tools (SalesLoft, Outreach)
- Ability to manage a high volume of leads and maintain organized data in CRM
- Resilience, coachability, and adaptability to improve outreach strategies
