Job Summary
Senior Business Development Representative responsible for outbound prospecting, lead generation, qualifying opportunities, coordinating discovery meetings, engaging decision-makers, supporting the sales cycle, and helping expand the company's global merchant portfolio. You will build and manage a pipeline of merchant and enterprise opportunities, maintain CRM records, collaborate with internal teams, and represent the company at international fintech events. Requires 1β3 years of B2B sales experience in FinTech/payments, strong prospecting and relationship-building skills, proficiency with CRM tools, and willingness to travel internationally. Must have a Bachelor's Degree; Masterβs degree is advantageous. On-site in Stellenbosch, South Africa, with international travel approximately 5β6 times per year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 1β3 years of B2B sales experience
- Experience in FinTech, Payments, Financial Services, PSPs, Payment Gateways, Merchant Services, Banking Technology, Financial Software, or SaaS
- Outbound prospecting and lead generation
- Ability to engage decision-makers and conduct discovery calls
- Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce) and sales tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach)
- Willingness to travel internationally 5β6 times per year
- English proficiency
