Job Summary
Distance is seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive outbound prospecting for home service businesses across the US and Canada. You’ll cold call, qualify prospects, book meetings for Sales Executives, and follow up via calls, email, and SMS. You’ll use a CRM to track activity, learn the product and messaging, take coaching to improve performance, and may represent Distance at industry events. The role emphasizes coaching, outbound sales skill-building, and a growth mindset in a fast-moving AI software company with travel opportunities across North America. Strong preference for candidates with prior phone-based sales, outbound calling, appointment setting, or customer outreach experience and comfort engaging with owners, operators, and decision-makers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with cold calling and outbound selling
- Experience in phone-based sales, appointment setting, or customer outreach
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision-makers
- Ability to follow up via calls, email, and SMS
- Strong communication, persuasiveness, and coachability
- Reliable, organized, and able to track activity in a CRM
- Willingness to learn about AI, software sales, and home service businesses
- Comfortable with occasional travel across US and Canada
- Ability to represent the brand professionally
- Strong collaboration and receptiveness to feedback
