Job Summary

Manage full sales cycles from lead generation to closing while nurturing long-term client relationships in the aquaculture and life sciences markets. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, performing business reviews to align strategic goals and fostering loyalty across your territory. Execute prospecting initiatives to create new leads, utilizing Marketing-sourced MQLs and SQLs to qualify prospects and convert them into sales-ready opportunities. Deliver technical presentations and prepare quotes to identify strategic upselling and cross-selling opportunities, leveraging CAT's HubSpot CRM to track activities and report on market intelligence. Collaborate with lab operations, genetic scientists, and marketing teams to promote Next Generation BreedingTM solutions, ensuring cohesive client management while traveling up to 50% for site visits, conferences, and regulatory engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of sales experience
  • Fluent in English as a first or second language
  • Currently holds a position within the Aquaculture/Fisheries industry (Operations, Feed, etc.)
  • Science background including animal sciences, biology, molecular biology, or related science
  • 5-10 years of experience with science background
  • Valid passport/visas
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50% or more
  • Ability to don, doff, and work in PPE (e.g., lab coat/coveralls, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, boots)
  • Adherence to local driving regulations and visitor rules
  • Participation in required safety trainings (e.g., Hazard Communication, PPE, Biosafety/Biosecurity, Hearing Conservation if applicable)
  • Ability to comply with site-specific health, safety, and biosecurity requirements
  • Exceptional ability to organize tasks, meet deadlines, and effectively manage time
