Job Summary
Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting and cold calling to drive pipeline growth within the chemical industry. Follow up on literature and sample requests to qualify new business opportunities, while performing targeted market research to identify prospects in NASi product segments. Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and prospective customers, ensuring the sales pipeline remains current through collaboration with Business Development. Track prospecting activities, lead status, and opportunity progression within the CRM system. Support marketing initiatives by identifying customers to add to the pipeline and participate in trade shows to cultivate new prospects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in chemical sales or a related field
- Demonstrated success in cold calling and prospecting within the chemical industry
- Working knowledge of the chemical industry
- Experience conducting high-volume outbound prospecting and lead qualification activities
- Knowledge of commodity chemicals and the ability to learn and communicate the value of manufactured NASi products
- Experience performing market research and identifying new business opportunities
- Ability to manage and maintain sales pipelines and support business development activities
- Basic experience working within a CRM system to add, track, and manage opportunities for the sales team
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Experience using CRM platforms and digital sales tools to manage pipelines, track prospect activity, and support data-driven decision making
- Comfort leveraging Microsoft 365 tools, collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, and AI-enabled tools such as Copilot to improve productivity, research, and customer outreach
- Ability to analyze prospecting and pipeline data, utilize market intelligence resources, and adopt new technologies that enhance lead generation and business development efforts
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong communication skills that enable you to build remote relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- You enjoy collaborating as part of a team and understand the importance of smoothly transitioning qualified opportunities to external sales representatives
