Job Summary
Sales Data Analyst responsibilities include monitoring brand- and SKU-level sales to identify trends, analyzing customer purchasing patterns to support account-level strategy, and helping assess sales performance by product category and region. The role supports reporting and dashboards using Power BI, maintains recurring reports, translates basic reporting requests into usable outputs, ensures data accuracy across systems, conducts data validation, and assists with forecasting using historical data and consideration of seasonal or external factors. Collaboration with sales and marketing teams to align reporting with goals and provide simple analyses for pricing strategies, campaigns, and promotions is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in a data, reporting, or sales analysis role
- Experience in wholesale, distribution, or the grocery/CPG industry is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data
- Basic understanding of data validation and reporting processes
- Ability to organize and present data in a clear and useful format
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment
