Job Summary
Sales Counselor role selling pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery merchandise, and related inventory. Responsibilities include assisting families with funeral selections, attending services, and generating leads through walk-ins, inbound calls, and proactive prospecting. Training pay offered ($18/hour for 6 weeks) with uncapped commission; estimated first-year earnings $50,000–$70,000. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license and own vehicle for offsite client appointments; proficiency with MS Office and CRM; strong communication, organizational, and confidentiality skills; some holidays/evenings/weekends required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of sales experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Mileage reimbursement for travel
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook)
- Experience working in a CRM (lead management system preferred)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends
