Job Summary
Sales Counselor position selling pre-need and at-need funeral services and cemetery merchandise; assists families with funeral selections and attends services. Leads are generated through walk-ins, inbound calls and proactive lead generation and prospecting. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (some related education preferred in Business/Marketing/Sales) and typically 1 year of sales experience; must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for offsite appointments with mileage reimbursement. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM is required. Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends. Raleigh, NC based; full-time role with uncapped commission earnings and a training pay rate of $18/hour for 6 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of sales experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with CRM (lead management system preferred)
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends
