Job Summary
Conduct clerical and administrative duties for guest and hotel communications while performing light selling to small groups and functions. Answer phones to qualify inquiries, maintain sales files and the Accounts Coverage Program, and manage the lead log for strategic outbound sales. Type sales contracts, correspondence, and reports; maintain the Delphi SalesPro system and enter daily group pickups and monthly preferred production. Assist managers with creative projects like proposals and direct mail, quote prices for meeting inquiries, and handle small groups under ten rooms or people. Distribute BEO changes, rooming lists, and signed contracts to appropriate departments, conduct site inspections, and monitor office supplies and sales collateral.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to type 55 wpm
- Proficient with Microsoft operating Systems OnQ and Sales Pro Enterprise
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Must be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Possible weekends and Holidays based on business demands
Desired Qualifications
- College course work in related field
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
