Job Summary
Identify prospective customers through lead generation and outreach, then contact new and existing clients to understand needs and recommend appropriate products. Maintain strong product knowledge while clearly communicating features and benefits, and demonstrate how solutions improve customer operations. Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements, and review credit status to assist with collections of outstanding balances. Collaborate with internal departments to support customer needs and maintain accurate contact lists to build long-term relationships. Complete all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver's License, and current automobile insurance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and email communication
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to perform with minimal supervision
- Driven to maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of industry-related sales experience within the distribution or supplier community
- Background in industrial, manufacturing, or machinery-related environments
