Job Summary
Sales Consultant responsible for developing an effective marketing and sales strategy to maximize wine and spirits distribution within an established or growing customer base; maintains routine contact with key decision makers; negotiates local purchasing agreements and contracts; delivers educational programs, materials, and services; collaborates with District Manager and Sales Director to monitor sales growth and market penetration using monthly reporting tools; participates in wine and spirits education programs and hosts dinners and tastings; coordinates with accounting on any billing issues within the territory; communicates with Customer Service about ordering and shipping needs; achieves set goals and objectives on schedule; travels as needed (significant travel by automobile; potential airplanes/trains and overnight stays); follows safety policies; other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED diploma
- Two years marketing or sales experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Demonstrated computer knowledge
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
