Job Summary
Sales Consultant to optimize execution at the account level and cost effectively distribute beverage brands within the Clinton and Franklin county region. Responsibilities include calling on assigned accounts, achieving sales objectives, completing sales reporting, handling all brand promotions, maintaining POS standards, pricing communications, developing retailer presentations, building relationships with purchasing contacts, and resolving customer problems related to sales and deliveries. Requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a NYS Liquor Authority Solicitor’s permit, and strong computer literacy with database/inventory software; travel to client accounts is expected. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent experience from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Must be able to attain and maintain a NYS Liquor Authority Solicitor’s permit
- Ability to read labels, policies, and procedures; comprehend various coding systems; write correspondence, give presentations to staff on company related information
- Must be computer literate and able to utilize database software, internet software, and inventory software, order processing systems, spreadsheet software, and word processing software
- Ability to follow directions and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Travel to client accounts (e.g., convenient stores, grocery stores, bars, and restaurants)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with sales planning, account management, and POS concepts
- Ability to collect and manage accounts receivable per company policy
