Job Summary
Sales Consultant at Havertys in Fort Myers will provide excellent service to customers from contact through delivery and beyond, helping customers select furniture by understanding their needs and assisting in creating a warm home. Responsibilities include building relationships with customers independently and with the Interior Design Consultant, reinforcing selections, providing product, service, and finance expertise, using Havertys CRM and tablets for communication, maintaining knowledge of furniture styles, and contributing to overall store success and sales goals. Compensation includes an uncapped commission with guaranteed base income opportunity and paid training; work hours include nights and weekends aligned with store hours. The role emphasizes strong communication, relationship-building, product knowledge, and teamwork within a retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer communications simultaneously
- Positive and engaging personality
- Creative flair and energetic attitude
- Proficient in resolving customer objections and ensuring satisfaction
- Familiarity with a broad range of furniture styles and products preferred but not required
- Computer proficiency including email experience required; knowledge and use of MS Office software preferred; Tablet/iPad operation abilities strongly preferred
- Relevant experience preferred but not required
- College education preferred, High School / GED or equivalent required; or 1-3 years of retail experience preferably in a commissioned sales position
- Interior Design is highly desired
