Job Summary
As Havertys Retail Furniture Sales Consultant, you guide customers through furniture selection and help them create a warm, inviting home. You build relationships with customers independently and in collaboration with an Interior Design Consultant, reinforce selections, and provide product, service, and financing expertise. You’ll use company-provided tablets and the CRM to enter client information and follow up, maintain knowledge of furniture styles, and contribute to overall store success and customer satisfaction. The role includes paid training, an uncapped commission structure with guaranteed income, and opportunities for advancement. Schedule supports retail hours including nights and weekends, with a compensation range of $55,000–$100,000+ per year.
Required Qualifications
- Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer communications simultaneously.
- Positive and engaging personality.
- Creative flair and energetic attitude.
- Proficient in resolving customer objections and ensuring satisfaction.
- Familiarity with a broad range of furniture styles and products preferred but not required.
- Computer proficiency including email experience required; knowledge and use of MS Office software preferred; Tablet/iPad operation abilities strongly preferred.
- Relevant experience preferred but not required.
- College education preferred, High School / GED or equivalent required; or 1-3 years of retail experience preferably in a commissioned sales position.
- Interior Design is highly desired.
