Job Summary
Sales Consultant focused on Fire Protection outside sales in Elgin, IL. Responsibilities include generating sales volume above quota with acceptable margins, maintaining customer relationships, creating estimates and quotes for fire alarm installation/service, negotiating contracts and payments, preparing sales contracts, and delivering product presentations. Requires effective communication with customers and office staff, mastery of MS Office, and the ability to read and decipher engineered drawings. Tracks progress toward goals, keeps customer data current in the CRM, and stays organized. Offers a base salary in the $60k–$65k range with commission, full benefits, retirement plans, and paid time off. On-site in Elgin, IL.

- Previous sales experience (preferred, fire protection industry experience considered in lieu of sales)

- Maintains the company’s database system with up-to-date customer information to properly service customers in a timely manner
- Possesses the ability to operate in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Obtains the ability to read and decipher engineered drawings or design-build systems
- Delivers presentations of company products to new and existing customers
- Creates and provides estimates and quotes for Fire Alarm installation and service pricing
- Negotiates details of contracts and payments
- Prepares sales contracts and order forms
- Cultivates responsibility for generating sales volume higher than quota at acceptable gross margins
- Establishes and maintains contact with existing and new customers by proactively providing exceptional customer service
