Job Summary
Sales Consultant responsible for servicing a Charlotte, NC territory for a national wine, spirits, and beer distributor. Build customer relationships, provide product knowledge, manage routes, and merchandise in-store displays. Responsibilities include achieving sales objectives, territory management, selling current and new products, conducting in-store tastings, shelf placement, maintaining cold boxes, stocking inventories, delivering product, collecting payments where permissible, educating staff on priority brands, developing opening orders for new accounts, and maintaining professional relationships with suppliers. Requires a valid driver’s license, use of a personal vehicle, ability to travel within the territory, and adherence to company policies and equal-employment guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Must pass criminal background and MVR
- Proficient PC skills including MS Office and presentation software
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Desire to build professional relationships with suppliers and accounts
