Sales Consultant

Outside sales consultant role focused on promoting Freshpoint Sysco products and services to restaurants in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Responsibilities include managing existing customers, visiting weekly with marketing flyers and menu ideas, prospecting and opening new accounts to meet company objectives, building pricing and order guides, collecting past due balances, and coordinating with customer service and operations. The role requires travel up to 75% and may include non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to satisfy customer needs. Candidates need a High School degree or equivalent and typically 2+ years in sales (with outside foodservice or restaurant/chef experience preferred). Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook is expected, with Salesforce knowledge a plus; knowledge of warehouse distribution and strong communication and detail-oriented skills are valued. The position emphasizes relationship-building, territory management, and adherence to CMP goals and internal pricing/credit review processes.
