Job Summary
Sales Consultant responsible for strategic account planning, development of new business, growing account portfolio, and retaining customer accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within assigned territory. Responsibilities include maintaining and developing assigned customer base, evaluating customer business needs and market trends to develop customer-centric product and service solutions, negotiating and maintaining profitable margins, coordinating with purchasing to address pricing and product issues, creating and maintaining necessary company and customer files, monitoring market conditions and competitor products, working with Merchandising, Operations and Management to fulfill orders, taking customer orders via phone and email, reviewing sales growth and margins, managing bids and weekly pricelists/promotions, conducting warehouse walkthroughs and inventory counts, communicating feedback to internal teams, and supporting non-traditional hours and travel as needed. Emphasizes food safety compliance, safe work practices, and teamwork in a foodservice context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline or 2+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Valid drivers license in good standing with access to a vehicle
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
