Job Summary
Identify and acquire high-growth startup customers across Africa, helping them integrate Beem's communication solutions. Build relationships with founders, accelerators, and venture capital firms to expand presence in fintech, agritech, and cleantech sectors. Own the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing, managing proposals and pricing strategies while exceeding targets. Educate clients on API integration best practices and drive cross-selling with existing accounts. Represent Beem at industry events and conferences to generate leads and strengthen brand positioning. Utilize CRM tools to track leads and generate reports for management.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management
- Strong network and knowledge of the African startup ecosystem
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing high-value opportunities
- Technical acumen to understand and explain BeemAPIs
- Experience with CRM tools and data-driven sales methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills, including persuasion, negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer service
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
- Highly organized with excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Adaptable and resilient, able to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Eager to learn, detail-oriented, patient, and curious with a strong ability to absorb and retain information
- Willingness to travel internationally for conferences and industry events as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science (a plus)
