Job Summary
The Sales Business Development Center (BDC) Representative is the first point of contact for potential customers, generating and qualifying sales opportunities through inbound and outbound communications. Responsibilities include handling calls, emails, texts, and online inquiries; responding to leads from marketing, walk-ins, and third-party sources; qualifying prospects by needs, budget, timeline, and interest; scheduling and confirming appointments; maintaining CRM records; following up to nurture leads; meeting or exceeding daily/weekly/monthly goals; collaborating with sales managers to ensure smooth handoffs; staying knowledgeable about products, promotions, and pricing; and delivering exceptional customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Previous experience in sales, call center, customer service, or BDC role preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident phone presence with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with CRM systems and basic computer applications
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and coachable
- Professional attitude with a strong work ethic
