Job Summary

The primary focus is driving revenue through end-to-end event sales and coordination for catered events. Key duties include prospecting new opportunities via outside sales calls, site visits, and email/phone outreach; qualifying leads; negotiating food/beverage/function space minimums; sending proposals and contracts; following up to close business; producing sales and activity reports; coordinating banquet event orders; participating in industry networking and vendor relations; and ensuring accurate planning details across departments while complying with company policies. Requires 2+ years in event sales or 3+ years in event coordination, plus strong communication, negotiation, organization, and customer-service skills; familiarity with venue management and catering operations; and proficiency with CRM software (Caterease and related tools a plus).

  • 2+ years of event sales or 3+ years of event coordinating
  • Proven experience in sales or business development
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Knowledge of venue management and catering food and beverage services
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; CRM software experience; Caterease a plus
