Job Summary
Engage customers by approaching and assisting shoppers with personal service, converting interactions into sales opportunities while driving brand loyalty. Build relationships through active listening to solve problems efficiently and advocate for customer needs at the first point of contact. Maintain store standards by ensuring visual merchandising is up-to-date, supporting store operations, and leveraging POS technology for seamless omni-channel service. Promote initiatives such as the Outdoor Discovery School and Mastercard program to drive excitement. Collaborate respectfully with team members to adapt to changing business needs and uphold a safe, healthy workplace. This year-round, part-time role at our Rivers Edge Retail Store in Indianapolis, IN, requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Genuine passion for the outdoors and participation in outdoor activities
- Required to stand, walk during shift
- Talk or hear, both in person and by headset
- Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps
- Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch
- Occasionally required to lift 1 to 20 pounds
- Occasionally required to move and lift objects up to 40 pounds (utilizing a team lift as needed)
