Job Summary
Greet customers, execute firearms paperwork, and create orders while delivering exceptional salesmanship and maintaining strict firearm safety awareness. Manage store merchandising changes, load and unload trucks, receive stock, and actively support promotions, sales, and events. Assist customers with fishing reels using special machines and knot-tying techniques, participate in inventory tasks, and attend training seminars, including off-site sessions. Occasionally travel approximately 5% of the time for events and training. Work varied hours with overtime potential, standing, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds throughout shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate (or GED)
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility
- Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm
- Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
Desired Qualifications
- college graduate or some college
- Prior retail or sales experience and cash handling
- Previous customer service experience
- Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment
- Occasional travel (approximately 5% of the time-participating in events, training seminars etc)
