Job Summary
Optical technician and sales associate role focused on delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience by guiding patients in selecting glasses/contacts, dispensing orders, and ensuring medical support aligned with prescriptions from optometrists/ophthalmologists; responsibilities include measuring and fitting frames, operating auto-lensometer and lensometer, educating patients on lenses and coatings, collecting detailed measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt), and repairing/dispensing glasses and contact lens orders. Requires experience in a medical/ophthalmic setting or customer-facing roles, high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; ABO and NCLE certifications are preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or GED
- ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
