Job Summary
Optical Technician / Sales Associate focused on delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience in a retail/clinical setting. Responsibilities include integrating medical support with sales by determining patient needs, assisting in selecting frames and lenses, dispensing orders, and performing or assisting with lensometry (auto- and manual). Provides guidance on lenses, coatings, and frame suitability, while taking precise measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt) and processing patient orders. Requires strong customer service, familiarity with ophthalmic terminology, and ability to operate office software. Training provided for role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required
