Job Summary
Optical Technician/Sales Associate expected to maximize the Total Patient Experience and retail sales while supporting patients' medical needs. Role involves dispensing and fitting glasses and contacts from ophthalmologists' and optometrists' prescriptions, helping patients select frames, taking precise measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, pantoscopic tilt, pupillary distance), operating lensometers, and educating on lenses, coatings, and frames to meet patient needs. Requires ability to dispense orders and assist with repairs, with emphasis on accurate measurements and customer service in a clinical/office setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
