Job Summary
Dispense and fit glasses and contact lens orders based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists, operating auto-lensometers and manual lensometers to measure bridge, eye size, and pupillary distance. Assist patients in selecting frames by coordinating styles with facial measurements and optical prescriptions, while educating them on specific lenses and coatings. Accurately collect all necessary measurements, repair and adjust frames, and dispense orders in E360 while maintaining frame inventory and cleaning stocked areas. Full-time position with flexible availability within Monday-Friday 8am-7pm and Saturday 8am-1pm hours. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- HIPAA compliance
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications (or obtained with first 2 years of employment)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work any shift within hours Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 8am-1pm
- Open availability to work any shift within these hours
