Job Summary
Process tickets accurately, educate customers on the Round Up and Good Points programs, and operate the telephone and paging system. Maintain merchandise displays, restock items, and assist shoppers in locating products. Keep the work area clean and organized by completing opening/closing checklists and supporting general cleaning, including parking lot maintenance. Ensure cash handling standards are met while managing multiple tasks under time constraints. This role requires standing for up to eight hours, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends. Goodwill NCW is a nonprofit with 28 stores across north-central Wisconsin dedicated to elevating people through employment and skill building.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
- Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail
- Ability to operate a cash register and accurately count money
- Basic math skills required
- Fluent in English
- Experience with computers or a willingness and ability to learn
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule
- Sufficient physical ability to repetitively stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight
- Ability to use a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds
- Ability to reach approximately 54 inches
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch
- Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
