Job Summary
Sort and price donations, assist with quality control, and operate the cash register or Interac machine. Answer customer inquiries, concerns, and phone calls as needed. Perform general cleaning, tidy the store inside and outside, and sweep or mop floors daily. Remove garbage, bring in outside donations, and assist with picking up donations for the food bank. Help count money and prepare bank deposits. Work Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 to 6:00 with a half-day lunch break.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Able to communicate efficiently & effectively with customers and co-workers
- Physically fit, energetic & good co-ordination
- Able to lift 30lbs
- Willingness to be flexible in their duties
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting
- Must have a positive attitude and pleasant personality
- Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality with professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility
- Understanding of and support for the Mission and Ministry of The Salvation Army
- Tuesday – Saturday 9:30 – 6:00, 1⁄2 lunch break (3 various days)
