Job Summary
Generate sales through new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing accounts by traveling your assigned territory to call on restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retail establishments. Compile prospective customer lists from networking, directories, and trade shows to build your portfolio, then present products using samples or catalogs to highlight key features. Quote prices and credit terms to prepare contracts, provide estimated delivery dates based on production schedules, and collect payments timely. Maintain detailed transaction records, update expense reports, manage account receivables, and track stock levels to align availability with demand. Collaborate with inside sales representatives to keep account activities current.
Required Qualifications
- Must live within a commutable distance to the assigned geographic sales area
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must have basic computer skills and understanding
- Must have some proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in restaurant sales, food sales, professional catering sales, and/or working as a Chef
- College degree
