Job Summary
Generate sales by developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing accounts. Travel throughout your assigned territory to call on restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retail establishments, presenting products via samples or catalogs to highlight key features. Compile lists of prospective customers from networking and industry sources, then quote prices and credit terms to prepare contracts. Provide estimated delivery dates based on production schedules and collect payments in a timely manner. Maintain detailed records of business transactions, update expense reports, and manage account receivables while tracking stock levels to align availability with demand. Collaborate with inside sales representatives to keep account activities current.
Required Qualifications
- Must live within a commutable distance to the assigned geographic sales area
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must have basic computer skills and understanding
- Must have some proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in restaurant sales, food sales, professional catering sales, and/or working as a Chef
- College degree
