Job Summary
Represent Sur La Table's brand by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty. Actively engage customers to identify needs, recommend relevant products, and lead a guest-obsessed culture. Maximize selling opportunities by offering relevant solutions, promoting add-on sales, and consistently meeting monthly sales goals. Process transactions, manage inventory, and support daily opening and closing procedures while maintaining visual merchandising standards. Collaborate with team members to foster a positive store culture and support the onboarding of new associates. Available to work between 12 and 16 hours per week with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of employment
- Ability to communicate verbally
- Ability to work cooperatively with associates and customers
- Ability to remain standing for up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to move about the store
- Ability to grab, reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Ability to lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders
- Ability to operate a computer, POS system, keyboards, merchandise scanners and mouse
- Available to work between 12 and 16 hours per week, with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of retail sales experience preferred
- Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred
