Job Summary
Sales Associate role focused on delivering exceptional customer service and building customer relationships. Responsibilities include performing POS transactions, replenishment and merchandising tasks, receiving shipments, price markdowns, fitting room upkeep, maintaining store standards, ensuring visual displays and store housekeeping, and adhering to loss prevention policies. The role requires retail experience (preferably in apparel), strong customer-service skills, ability to understand customer needs, teamwork, and a proactive, positive attitude to contribute to Roots’ culture and store success.
Required Qualifications
- Retail experience preferably in apparel
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers
- Experience with understanding retail operation concepts such as maintaining to store standards, cash handling, and merchandise presentation
- Self-starter and uses good judgment in all situations
- Excellent presentation skills in a retail environment
- Upbeat, optimistic, passionate and friendly
- Ability to understand the needs of the customer
- Ability to build buy-in to an idea, a decision, an action, a product, or a service
