Job Summary
Conduct cashier transactions and manage customer sales while preparing merchandise orders and handling banking paperwork. Place small items into stock in the sales area, sweep and dust the store, and assist in unloading delivery vehicles to stock cases of pet food and supplies up to 50 lbs. Perform other duties as required, including general store maintenance. This role offers flexible scheduling, competitive wages, and staff discounts within Pet Valu's team of pet experts dedicated to helping families find nutrition and solutions for dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and small animals.
Required Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Working knowledge of POS system
- Possess outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively
- Ability to work as scheduled to meet attendance requirements, which may include weekends and evenings
- Ability to have reliable means of transportation to and from the store
