Job Summary
Provide sincere, friendly, and energetic customer service while utilizing effective selling techniques to build multiple sales and increase productivity. Assist customers with special services including gift wrap, locating merchandise, and furniture orders, and efficiently perform register transactions for sales, returns, and exchanges. Maintain knowledge of current promotions and product features, and help implement visual merchandise presentation and signage. Uphold store maintenance standards by straightening, cleaning, and restocking merchandise as needed. Part-time flex associates must be available for minimum two weekend shifts and two weekday shifts, with greater availability required for 20+ hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate POS system
- Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, (up to 75 lbs.) while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- 1-2 years customer service experience
- 1-2 years retail sales experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Open availability to meet the needs of the business
- Available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday)
- Available to work two during the week (Monday to Thursday)
- Available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday)
