Job Summary
Greet, assist, and direct customers and donors while handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Manage the cash drawer, balance point of sale transactions, and restock merchandise to maintain a clean work environment. Perform floor maintenance, support team members, and report potential hazards or accidents to uphold safety standards. Communicate effectively via telephone and wireless audio systems while answering questions or directing inquiries to supervisors as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalency
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers)
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing
- Climbing ladders
- Ability to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain)
- Ability to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills
- Maintain reliable attendance
- Organizing, sorting, categorizing, counting, adding, subtracting
